The Governor’s House is probably one of the few state mansions where attention has been paid to the research and study and growing plants which represent the potential of the region. The meticulous inventory of the trees shows that the entire estate has altogether 999 trees consisting of flowering trees, fruit trees and those that provide screening and shading.
Accordingly, part of the southern grounds has been converted into various sections for growing different species of plants as a Botanical garden.
